Are we prepared to participate in the catalyzing, creation and guidance of these paradigm shifts? This one-week intensive will bring together innovators from diverse social, professional and geographic spaces to explore and develop the attitudes, aptitudes and skill-sets required to work together to build a world we wish to live in and leave to our children.

Through the Gurdjieff Movements, we invite you to challenge and change automatic reactions, routines, and behaviors that may no longer serve you. This will allow you to explore new ways of interacting with yourself, others and the world. You will work on balancing your intuition with external information, expanding your comfort zone and embracing new approaches and perspectives while integrating them into your current life and circumstances.

The methodology

Our approach uses the Gurdjieff 4th-way framework as its fundamental structure, integrated with modern day psychology and innovation best practices and is inspired by ancient Sufi wisdom.

As such, it is a blend of practices based on the Gurdjieff movements along with special music composed especially for them which are further supported by practices of meditation, observation, conversation and reflection.

This dynamic mix of practices and overlapping modalities helps individuals learn to focus attention, divide it, prioritize and apply it with choice rather than reactiveness.

What can you expect from this Intensive?

This intensive is designed to help you develop enhanced leadership and connection skills in a new and unorthodox way. The unique blend of practices we will be using is aimed to:

Balance your mind, body and heart (inner voices, emotions and structure).
Clarify and ground your deepest dreams.
Generate new insights and start making an action plan.
Harmonize your inner and outer world, increasing your sense of flow.

You can expect to find new ways to break through your habitual patterns, observe and evolve, while having time and space for your own individual and professional growth.

You will also be given time to rest, walk in nature or chill by the pool. And, for those interested, our team will be available for personal mini-mentoring sessions to help you integrate the work into your personal and professional life.

Practicalities

D’Alijo retreat center is one of the most beautiful venues in Northern Portugal, and possibly in the entire country.
Nested in the province of Minho, The area is well known for its Vinho Verde vineyards, olive ﬁelds and beautiful national parks.
The Retreat Center sprawls across five hectares of land consisting of terraces, Olive trees, Mountains, Rock formations, a Pool, water features, and waterfalls.
Where you can enjoy beautiful walking trails and venture off to the bordering national park to take in its enchanting waterfalls and towering trees.
In a 1h radius drive from the venue are the UNESCO listed cities Porto, Braga and Guimaraes - also known as the birth place of the Portuguese republic, and the beautiful national park of Geres to the north.
The venue is 1h from Porto International airport and approximately 3h from Lisbon.
Access to the venue is easiest by car or shuttle service from the airport. Other forms of public transport including would be available from the major cities near by - Porto, Braga and Guimaraes but will require a taxi from these cities to the venue grounds.
For those who register, the venue will be offering a shuttle pickup service from Porto and other destination depending on participants’ needs.

Arrival: Aug2 (Friday) from 15:00.
Room check-in is possible from 15:00-17:00.
Opening sessions will take place at 17:00 in the main hall, followed by dinner.
Closing session: Aug8 (Thursday) from 10:30-12:00 after breakfast.
Room check-out by 10:00 on the same day.
